The Calgary Stampeders made it two straight wins Saturday, defeating the Ottawa Redblacks 45–31 at TD Place.
Quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. led a huge day for Calgary’s offence, completing 24 of 30 passes for 422 yards and three touchdowns without throwing an interception. The Stampeders finished with 520 net yards of offence.
Deonta McMahon scored twice for Calgary, while Tevin Jones, Clark Barnes and Tyreik McAllister also found the end zone. Barnes helped put the game away with a 60-yard catch and run touchdown.
It was also a milestone afternoon for Calgary receiver Jalen Philpot, who surpassed 1,000 receiving yards on the season after finishing the game with 127 yards.
The victory improves Calgary to 7–8 and keeps the Stampeders in the CFL playoff race with three games remaining in the regular season. Ottawa falls to 0–14.
