Around 4:40 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, Police responded to the 0-100 block of Cedardale Hill after reports of a parked vehicle that had rolled backwards, and struck the first victim, knocking them to the ground. The second victim was subsequently knocked down while attempting to stop the vehicle.
The first victim, a woman in her 80s was initially reported to be transported to hospital in serious but stable condition. Her condition has since deteriorated, with her injury becoming life-threatening.
The second victim suffered minor injuries and was assessed in hospital as a precaution.
